Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Develop new menu items and contribute to seasonal offerings based on customer feedback and trends.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Experience in supervising or managing kitchen teams, demonstrating leadership abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Previous experience in food production within high-volume environments is advantageous.
