We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations and a deep understanding of food safety and preparation. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring the highest standards of food production.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Develop and implement menus that reflect current food trends while maintaining quality and consistency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Assist in the training of new staff members on cooking techniques, kitchen procedures, and safety protocols.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked at all times.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for food production and preparation.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
A culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.
