Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary ideas
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation effectively
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation requirements
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent hospitality experiences
Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with familiarity in serving customers directly or indirectly
Competence in managing kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene
Knowledge of culinary trends and innovative cooking methods is advantageous
