Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Develop new menu ideas and contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Extensive food preparation and cooking skills across various cuisines
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
Previous experience in food production, culinary innovation, or menu development is highly desirable
Familiarity with serving procedures within a hospitality context is advantageous
