Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high performance levels Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation standards Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients Train new team members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures Ensure the kitchen environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen setting, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality environment Supervising experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience in menu development and food presentation Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour
