Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and preparation, demonstrating a strong understanding of culinary techniques and food safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality while leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menus. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork. Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that align with seasonal ingredients. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety practices, and operational procedures. Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality control.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Proficient in cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on high-quality food service. Knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service excellence. Strong leadership abilities to foster a positive team atmosphere. Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in high-volume settings.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
