We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food service
Oversee food safety practices and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining presentation standards
Assist in organising catering events and special functions as required
Uphold excellent customer service standards during serving periods
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Good understanding of food production processes and culinary techniques
Experience in restaurant service and hospitality environments is highly desirable
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management
