Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Develop and design innovative menus that highlight seasonal ingredients while catering to diverse dietary needs.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper equipment usage.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
Applicant must be able to at least work one day of the weekend and will work 5 days out of 7.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising kitchen teams and managing staff effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
