Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team at Haus on the Hill. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a flair for creativity in food preparation. You will play a vital role in managing the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food production and presentation, while also fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities



Assist the Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring efficient food production. Help prepare and cook high-quality dishes. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in menu planning, including developing new recipes and specials. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff on procedures, techniques, and safety protocols. Collaborate with bar staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry, ideally within pubs. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
