Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and effective teamwork. Running of the kitchen. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes to enhance our offerings. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety standards. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.
