We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively and to support the Head Chef where needed!. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional batch cook meals while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and culinary excellence.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Previous experience of batch cooking
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
