We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to work along side of head chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Work along side our head chef to develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Monitor food production processes to ensure efficiency and waste minimisation
Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management
Familiarity with current culinary trends and innovative cooking techniques
Experience in food production, hospitality, serving, and restaurant operations is highly desirable
