Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Manage food production processes, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and is presented attractively
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Implement food safety protocols and monitor compliance throughout the kitchen
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and special menu offerings
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing culinary teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service excellence is advantageous
Previous kitchen experience involving culinary innovation and menu planning is preferred
