Duties
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
Manage food production processes, including portion control, presentation, and consistency across all dishes
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement and inventory management
Lead team management activities such as training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Assist in menu development by creating innovative recipes that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours, maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent team management abilities with a focus on motivating staff and fostering teamwork
Competence in food production techniques and culinary innovation
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
