Overview

We are open 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. We are a 60 cover restaurant with outdoor seating which is used heavily during the day.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with experience in supervising kitchen staff. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Our team needs an experienced, dependable chef to join us and help drive our kitchen and grow our business.

You must have the ability to lead and work well under pressure, have a genuine passion for cooking and high standards of personal presentation. The kitchen is a very high pressure environment and the successful candidate must be able to function in this environment and perform effectively as part of a team.

A general day consists of a varied shift pattern:

Prep 7-9am

Breakfast service 9 - 11:45am.

Lunch Service from 12 - 3

close 4pm

Duties include:

Preparing and cooking a variety of both simple & complex dishes.

Contribute to menu design & planning

Place orders in line with the needs of the business while circulating stock and minimizing waste

Maintain GP and waste control

Adhere to cleaning rotas and food safety standards

Run kitchen sections, supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.

Work to create new & exciting dishes on a regular basis

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be required to work an average of 35 hours mainly over 4 days including weekends. Extra hours will be required to cover holidays.

A rota system is in place and you will need to be available to work all of the hours we are open including weekends.

You will be required to complete an interview and minimum half/one day trial at a mutually convenient time.
