Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operation
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during service hours
Ensure all food production activities meet quality standards and organisational policies
Assist in training new team members and fostering a positive team environment
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities with the capacity to inspire team members and promote teamwork
Experience in menu development, food production, and maintaining high culinary standards
