We are looking for a competent and experienced cook/chef to join our small team . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, with a good understanding of food safety and hospitality standards.
As our only cook / chef, you will be responsible for all things kitchen and food related, with help and guidance from our management team. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within the kitchen.
We currently run a brunch (breakfast/lunch) menu which we aim to keep and update where needed. New ideas are always welcome and meals in the evenings are a possibility in the future, but we are currently only serving food between 10am and 2.30pm.
Our cakes are all homemade so a love for baking is a real
plus!
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
Manage kitchen stock, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Bring new ideas to the table whether it's new menu items or recipes.
Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times and all record keeping upto date.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook/chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a kitchen setting.
Creativity in menu development and willingness to push their capabilities.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
