Who we are.....

We are a family owned / run village pub in the heart of Surrey Hills.

We have had this site for 9 years now and take massive pride in what we can offer.

We have thew same chef for 8 years now, sadly for reasons out of our control he had to make a change.

We are looking for someone to bring in to the fold. The position would be the Chef for the pub, we have 2 other staff members who are cross trained to assist you and cover holidays etc.

We have a great team and are loved by our regulars and new commers.

Our current kitchen hours are:

Monday 12 - 3

Thursday 12 - 3

Friday 12 - 9

Saturday 12 - 9

Sunday 12 - 5

All of the above are open for change subject to change depending on demand.

We encourage new ideas from new people and loom forward to working with people with vision and determination to succeed.

Job Overview


We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their leadership skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Duties



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation excellence Oversee food safety protocols and hygiene standards across the kitchen Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and customer satisfaction Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock efficiently Train new team members and foster a collaborative, motivated kitchen environment Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience with a track record of leading culinary teams effectively Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Demonstrated skills in food production, presentation, and quality control Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable A passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 43 per week
