Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the kitchen to ensure efficient food production and service. Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Oversee food safety procedures, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients. Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current trends and customer preferences. Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold high standards. Maintain organised workstations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements



Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting. Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Ability to manage team dynamics effectively while fostering a positive working environment. Skilled in menu development, food presentation, and customer service principles. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy periods. A passion for culinary arts coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 45 per week
