We have a position available for a chef.
The Huntsman, an award winning country inn, are recruiting for an exciting position. We are looking for a talented and outgoing individual to work alongside the Head & sous chef to help run this busy kitchen and restaurant.
Ideal candidate must have 1 years experience in preparing and cooking fresh food to a high standard and be self motivated, creative and committed. A good sense of humour is also essential!
Working hours will vary with a mixture of weekdays and weekends and rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.
Full training and the chance to achieve external qualifications are provided.
Summary
As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation and cooking, ensuring that high standards of culinary excellence are met. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food safety and kitchen experience to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Your premium skills in team management and supervising will enable you to lead kitchen staff effectively, while your relevant restaurant experience will enhance our dining offerings. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes. Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff and manage food production to maintain quality and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service and timely meal delivery. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations. Provide exceptional hospitality to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
