Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Manage food production schedules to ensure timely service while maintaining quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene. Collaborate with the management team to develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality control.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
