Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and some experience in kitchen management, demonstrating solid skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Train new staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality control of all dishes served. Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef. Supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for cooking is key.

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
