Overview



We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our kitchen team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a genuine interest in developing their culinary skills within a supportive and professional pub environment. Successful candidates will help prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. A positive, upbeat attitude is essential, and while advanced skills are a bonus, familiarity with food handling and preparation safety guidelines is a must.

Duties



Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in line with food safety standards. Follow all health and safety regulations during food preparation and service. Support team members during busy periods, including customer service when needed. Monitor and manage stock levels, restocking ingredients and supplies as required. Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas based on trends and customer feedback. Work collaboratively with the director to support kitchen development, team leadership, and process improvement.

Experience & Qualities



Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work is desirable but not essential--training will be provided for the right candidates. Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene best practices. Experience in a pub, restaurant, or catering setting is advantageous. Familiarity with culinary techniques such as chopping, sauteing, frying, grilling, and garnishing. Strong organisational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. A positive, can-do attitude and genuine enthusiasm for food and hospitality.

MUST have a valid driver's licence.

Must be willing to drive to WA5 or to other sites within our parent company if required.
