Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Manage food production schedules to meet service times and minimise waste
Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to ensure availability of ingredients
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Skilled in food preparation, presentation, and culinary techniques
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration and customer service
