We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Indian mixed grill business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while leading a team of dedicated kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with management on menu planning, including seasonal offerings and specials.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise profitability.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar Chef role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Experience in cooking meats and naan breads in a tandoor.
Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience, showcasing effective team management abilities.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Previous experience in menu development is advantageous but not essential.
