We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and preparation, demonstrating exceptional cooking skills and a strong understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in leading the kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety guidelines to maintain quality standards.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both food presentation and kitchen cleanliness.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
