Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food preparation
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards and served promptly
Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and allergen control
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
Uphold organisational standards related to cleanliness, safety, and presentation
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts
Demonstrable experience in food production within restaurants or hospitality settings
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Experience with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence
Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced or high-volume setting is highly desirable
