We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef with a passion for authentic Italian cuisine and pizza-making. The successful candidate will be confident in preparing traditional and modern Italian dishes, while also demonstrating expertise in crafting high-quality pizzas from scratch. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of Italian dishes, including pasta, risotto, antipasti, and seasonal specials.
Make fresh pizza dough daily, including kneading, fermenting, hand-stretching, and topping.
Operate and maintain pizza ovens (wood-fired/stone/electric) with precision.
Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes, maintaining high presentation standards.
Work closely with the team to create new menu items and specials.
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage ingredients efficiently.
Maintain strict hygiene, health, and food safety standards.
Support and train junior kitchen staff where required.
Contribute to a smooth-running kitchen during busy service periods.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Chef in an Italian kitchen, with strong pizza-making skills.
Knowledge of traditional and contemporary Italian recipes, ingredients, and cooking methods.
Strong understanding of dough preparation, fermentation, and pizza oven management.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Creativity and passion for Italian food culture.
Qualifications:
Professional chef qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
Food Hygiene and Safety certification (Level 2 or above).
Allergen awareness training (desirable).
