We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the maintenance of food safety standards. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation
Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage of ingredients
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Qualifications
Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
