Findon Vale Garden Centre, reopened January 2024 in Worthing, we are looking for experienced and passionate Chef ready to join this exciting business. You will be working in modern kitchens with bakery and supporting a front of house coffee shop and restaurant and a total of 350 covers.
You will be working alongside your cooks and jointly responsible for the day-to-day cooking and food production. You will ensure we provide a consistent, high quality fresh food offer. Ability to design and cook homestyle food and breakfast in volume will be critical to success.
Our vision is to be an inspirational leisure and retail destination with a strong catering offer. This is an important position within the team and offers the successful candidate opportunities to really make their mark and develop within a rapidly expanding company.
We are open 7 days a week, so some weekend working will be required but with no split shifts and no evenings.
Role Responsibilities
To ensure Quality of food provision to every customer
Ensure good practices to hit GP targets.
To ensure that all food is prepared and stored in a safe manner according to regulations.
To act as part of the catering team and work closely with the catering manager.
To help ensure we meet current statutory requirements, including COSHH, HACCP and Environmental Health where appropriate.
To ensure all records are kept up to date in the preparation and storage of food.
Regularly assess the quality of food that is being served on the servery.
To ensure all agreed menus are followed.
To ensure all food is prepared as per Company procedures.
