Thyme Out Cafe are looking for a additional chef to join our popular and busy independent cafe team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role.
Have excellent organisation and communication skills.
Able to work effectively under pressure and will have high standards of hygiene
and presentation.
Be fully aware of Health & Safety & Food standard regulations.
This job would suit someone who wants to use flair and expertise to deliver a high standard of food in a fast paced, cafe environment.
Day time hours, no split shifts, will include weekends on a rota.
Part-time will be considered for the right candidate.

Summary

As a Chef/Cook, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring food safety standards are met in our kitchen. Reporting to the Business Owner, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation and culinary experience to create delicious dishes that delight our customers. Your catering experience and effective communication skills will aid in collaborating with team members and maintaining a smooth kitchen operation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed in the kitchen. Collaborate with staff to manage meal preparation and service efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of ingredients. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Assist in menu planning and the development of new recipes as needed.
