We are seeking a second assistant Chef/Cook to work alongside our Main Chef during service. The ideal candidate would have some experience in a kitchen setting. Although we are happy to provide full training should the candidate not have the relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, showcasing seasonal ingredients.
Ensure that all food preparation adheres to food safety standards and regulations.
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance skills.
Requirements
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices (We can provide training.)
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
