Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen Create and develop new recipes while maintaining the restaurant's menu standards Ensure that all meals are prepared according to food safety regulations and culinary best practices Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in meal preparation techniques and food safety practices Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards Assist in menu planning, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen Passion for cooking with a creative flair for developing new dishes Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
