Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Making sure the pot wash area is kept clean at all times, and any washing up is dealt with Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and kitchen operations. Help create a positive atmosphere within the kitchen team, promoting teamwork and communication.

Experience



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is essential. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety practices. Experience in menu planning and the ability to create innovative dishes is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new skills within the culinary field is highly desirable.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
