Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef /cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food safety, with experience in restaurant environments. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, preparing high-quality dishes, and leading a team of kitchen staff to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and food safety standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Manage food production processes, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings based on customer feedback. Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety practices, and kitchen operations. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
