CHEF/COOK

Chef/Cook needed for friendly, family-run hotel kitchen. You'll be catering for a loyal local clientele as well as many visiting groups of golfers, bikers, birdwatchers and other tourists. On-site family accommodation is available for the correct candidate.

Applicants should be good team players, reliable, and be good at working under a bit of Saturday night pressure.

You will be one of two cooks/chefs on the team and will be expected to work split shifts and weekends.

Some of our best employees over the years came in the door with mainly homemaking experience and learned their skills on-the-job, so please feel free to apply even if you feel you have limited professional chef experience.

Job Duties:

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Follow recipes and presentation specifications Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment Restock items as needed throughout the shift Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
