Overview

We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic Bistro and Deli team at Champagne + Fromage, Harrogate. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in using your culinary flair to prepare and serve an artistic menu, while ensuring that food preparation and safety standards are met. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion about French food and champagne. Our Bistro offers an authentic French Menu, with a vast selection of grower's champagne. Join us as we strive to create a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following our menu to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food, and addressing customer enquiries or concerns. Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service flow without compromising quality. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Requirements

Previous restaurant and Proven experience working as a Chef. Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of food safety standards. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. A passion for food. Ability to work and train collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
