Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and passionate Chef/cook to join our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a flair for creating a seasonal specials board that will delight our guests. Ideally you will be managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are upheld, and supporting the business owner to drive revenue and reputation.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking to ensure high-quality dishes are served consistently. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to guest preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a cafe/restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Creativity in menu design and presentation, with an eye for detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A team player who works well with others A culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not essential for candidates with significant experience.

Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour
