Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety regulations Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to maintain quality and consistency Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods Serve meals to guests when required, ensuring presentation meets company standards Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Experience in meal preparation for large groups or events is advantageous Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is beneficial but not essential Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
