Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our small catering team. We are looking for someone reliable and flexible as hours and times can range on a weekly rota basis. Must be available 7 days a week ( 5 day working, 2 days off)
This position offers a zero hour contract with a probation period of 3 months. Pay will depend on experience.
Duties:
- To ensure consistent high standards of delivery in relation to product and service.
- To give support to the Head Chef, in all matters relating to the Kitchen
- To take an active role in promoting new ideas and improving department services.
- To ensure that all company Health, safety & Hygiene procedures are strictly adhered to
- To work in an efficient and timely manner to assist the team in meeting company standards for front of house, bar and dining room food
- To ensure all equipment is cleaned and put away after use
-To ensure high standards of personal hygiene and wear uniform as directed by the Head Chef
- To carry out all duties as directed by the Head Chef and to ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to
Skills:
- Proficient in food safety practices and regulations
- 2 years experience working in a kitchen environment
- Function catering experience desirable
- Hardworking
- Basic Food Hygiene-Essential
- Skilled in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Hospitality-driven with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Excellent team working abilities for coordinating kitchen operations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
