Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in meal presentation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and safety, while also ensuring an efficient kitchen operation.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and hygienically. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment. Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning properly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests. Pay: 12.21-16.93 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
