Job Summary


We are seeking two talented and passionate Chefs to join our team at Sancta. One full time and one part time.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests. The successful applicant will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience working in a restaurant, cafe or similar setting. The ability to bring new ideas and dishes to the kitchen is welcome.

Sancta has a focus on healthy foods but we do serve all range of dishes.

Duties



Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction Oversee food portioning, plating, and presentation to meet company standards Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures Support training of junior kitchen staff and interns as required

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality environment Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices Excellent skills in meal preparation and presentation Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills with attention to detail Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
