We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef / Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise flavour and presentation Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure freshness and minimise waste Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Adhere strictly to health and safety standards, including proper handling of food and equipment Contribute ideas for new dishes and culinary innovations to enhance the menu offerings

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a cafe or restaurant setting Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Experience with restaurant service, including serving guests when required Familiarity with various cooking techniques and culinary styles is desirable Previous experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment is advantageous

The hours will be Sunday 8am - 6pm and one other day during the week 8am - 6pm with potential for increased hours in the future.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-16.82 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
