Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Nursing Home team in Keinton Mandeville. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering good quality home cooked meals. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving nutritious well-presented meals, whilst meeting the dietary needs, preferences and requirements of our residents, to maintain food safety standards, and support the overall operation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to set menus, diet and individual care plans Ensure all food is prepared fresh, efficiently, and in accordance with health and safety regulations Assist in menu planning Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Monitor stock levels Work with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods Serve meals promptly while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation Adhere strictly to food safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices Maintan accurate records of temperatures, cleaning schedules and stock levels

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking Previous nursing home kitchen experience desirable Knowledge of meal preparation and food safety regulations Good time management Commitment to person centred care Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 14.80 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
