We are seeking someone at second chef level to assist our small Catering team.
We want someone with a flair for menu planning & a person with initiative to be able to work unsupervised in this busy role.
Previous Catering kitchen experience is essential, however we would be keen to consider anyone with interest in preparing great food or a junior chef looking to make the move up a level.
Your role would be assisting our Head Chef with preparation of menu recipes, and day to day running of the kitchen.
We would expect you to be able to work the Pass/starter/salad section if and when required during service,
Please note you will be required to step into head chef role during day's off & holiday's.
You will be required to maintain a professional appearance & keep the kitchen clean & tidy ideally you will have an up to date Basic food hygiene certificate, we can provide access to online food safety course if needed.
Other requirements for our chefs:
Friendly & able to work well in a team
Ability to work at speed and under pressure in a busy environment.
Good knowledge and understanding of food hygiene standards.(training available)
Excellent organisational and communication skills .
Be keen to offer Menu ideas & suggestions.
Driven and self motivated.
