Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal times.
Help create an enjoyable dining experience for guests through exceptional meal presentation.
Skills
Proficient in cooking techniques and methods within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Experience in meal preparation, with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
