Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Proficient in meal preparation and cooking techniques, with experience in a restaurant setting preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail in food presentation. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills within the kitchen environment.
