Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Grill Chef to join our culinary team. You will be working across our 2 kitchens using fresh ingredients to send out our dishes. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong emphasis on food safety and quality. As a Chef/Grill Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing grilled dishes to perfection while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure that all food production meets quality and safety standards, adhering to food safety regulations. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Manage inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and hospitality. Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure all dishes are cooked correctly and served promptly.

Experience

Previous experience as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation. Supervising experience is preferred, showcasing leadership abilities in managing kitchen staff effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Excellent team management skills with the ability to foster a collaborative atmosphere among staff members. A background in hospitality is advantageous, demonstrating an understanding of customer service principles.
