Job Description

We are currently seeking a Chef/Housekeeper to join our warm and supportive team at our residential home for young adults and children with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about taking pride in creating delicious meals and maintaining a well-run welcoming home.

Have good values and treat residents with kindness and respect Have empathy and be non-judgemental Have a basic Food Hygiene Certificate Have basic literacy and numeracy Have experience of working in a non-domestic catering environment including cleaning schedules, preferably in a care home Be a reliable member of the team and maintaining a high attendance record Be able to mix with residents, visitors, and members of staff Have a good health record with a clean and tidy appearance Can work unsupervised and use your own initiative
The candidate's general duties will include:

Creating menus tailored around residents to ensure person-centred hospitality, working with fresh produce to create and deliver high quality and wholesome dishes. Assisting with all aspects of the catering services, including cleaning tasks, food preparation and stock control. To complete all kitchen records accurately, to ensure that temperature checks on the fridges and freezers and delivery temperatures are carried out at specified times and recorded. To contribute to the achievement of the House's standards for catering and housekeeping to ensure the effective operation of the kitchen Supporting and helping the residents and communicate any concerns to the line manager Assisting in the economic use of the materials Can commit to working weekdays and alternate weekends

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, flexibility required where celebrations occur, e.g. Christmas, Birthdays and Eid.
