We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Experienced Chef/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and demonstrate leadership qualities to help supervise and manage kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth preparation and production of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is preferred.
